St. Pedro Fest I had a good ‘accident’ .. We planned my study visit in Porto de Mós at the end of June.. That means all the town this period was a fest! And of course the “Jardim de Infância” couldn’t miss this.. All the teachers plus the helpers prepared and run a kiosk for kids so they got some extra money for their school.. Amazing idea! |
This fest had everything.. Games for all ages.. Delicious food : I loved the small ‘Karakolias’ (little snails) Fancy dresses parade in various topics ..and of course one of these topics: MÓS: that means WIND MIL STONE (so, you can see Mills all around the town). Young men playing with Bulls and of course wonderful Portuguese music and dance! |
A visit to another Kindergarten was a ‘must’ .. It was quite new with a wonderful garden of vegetables! As well a visit to the Catholics ‘heart’ in Portugal: FATIMA.. The local area is famous also for its caves . Like this of St. Antonio.. June 2006.. Also means mundial of football.. You couldn't ignore this event as far everywhere was obvious! .. And I had an embarrassed time when some Portuguese found out I was a Greek! They never forget Euro 2004
