Με Μύθους …
από την Αρχαία
Ελλάδα.. αλλά και με Λόγια
από την νέα
Ελλάδα και μάλιστα
δικά μας! Ο Χρόνος …
έρχεται και φεύγει..
πάντα τρέχει … πώς
να τον ‘δώσεις’
στα παιδιά; Γενάρης
2005 .. πρώτη
βδομάδα στο σχολείο..
συζητήσεις για το χρόνο
που έφυγε, σχέδια για
αυτόν που ήρθε … πώς,
πού, πότε θα
τα υλοποιήσουμε; θέλουμε ένα μεγάλο
χαρτί … όχι, όχι
η Μαρία είπε χρειαζόμαστε ένα ημερολόγιο … Έτσι ξεκινήσαμε, το
θέλαμε αλλιώτικο από
τάλλα που φέραμε
στη τάξη μας,
να έχει ζωγραφιές
δικές μας .. στον
Η/Υ .. γιατί μας
αρέσουν τα χρώματα
εκεί. Στο πρωινό
τμήμα τα παιδιά
είχαν ήδη ξεκινήσει να δουλεύουν
για τους άθλους του
Ηρακλή… έτσι η
επιλογή του κεντρικού θέματος του
ημερολογίου προέκυψε αβίαστα:
Μύθοι από
την αρχαία Ελλάδα. Πήγαμε
στην Βιβλιοθήκη του
σχολείου και ψάξαμε …
βρήκαμε πολλούς μύθους
αλλά διαλέξαμε 12 όσοι και οι
μήνες. Χωριστήκαμε σε
ομάδες των 2 και αρχίσαμε να
ζωγραφίζουμε στον Η/Υ
αυτό που η κάθε
ομάδα είχε διαλέξει .
Συγχρόνως συζητούσαμε τον
αντίστοιχο μύθο όλοι
μαζί.. κάποιους τους
δραματοποιήσαμε … κάποιους άλλους – όπως την Λερναία
Ύδρα- τους κάναμε
χειροτεχνία .. για κάποιους
άλλους φέραμε πρόσθετα
στοιχεία από το σπίτι ...
αλλά για όλους
συμφωνήσαμε να πούμε
λίγα λόγια.. με
μέτρο! Με ρυθμό!..
Διαβάσαμε κάμποσα ποιήματα
για να ανακαλύψουμε τον
ρυθμό και την ομοιοκαταληξία του
έμμετρου στίχου. Το να
φτιάξουμε τα 5στιχα ‘ποιήματά μας’
αποδείχτηκε μια σχετικά
εύκολη διαδικασία .. 2-3 φορές
που κολλήσαμε μάλλον
ήταν από την
γενική κούραση της
ημέρας οπότε το
αφήσαμε για την επομένη
μέρα όπου η
‘έμπνευση’ ήταν παρούσα
και πάλι. Εδώ συμμετείχε
όλη η τάξη
και ήταν ιδιαίτερα
χαρούμενες στιγμές γιατί
μπορούσαν να ‘πετάγονται’ και να
λένε αυτό που
σκέφτονταν χωρίς να
σηκώσουν ‘χέρι’ και να
περιμένουν τη σειρά
τους όπως συνήθως
γίνεται στις συζητήσεις μας,
αλλά και γιατί το
διασκέδαζαν όταν οι
στίχοι τους, ηχούσαν
αστείοι ή παράξενοι. Η επόμενη φάση
ήταν αυτή της
ηλεκτρονικής μεταγραφής των
στίχων από το
χειρόγραφο που κρατούσα κατά
την διάρκεια της
δημιουργίας τους από τα παιδιά στη
τάξη. Εάν εξαιρέσω την συμμετοχή
μας σε ένα
ευρωπαϊκό Project- 3 χρόνια
πριν- ήταν η
πρώτη φορά που
έδωσα στα παιδιά
την μεταγραφή ενός
τέτοιου ‘όγκου’ γραπτού
λόγου στο Word. Με ενθάρρυνε να
το κάνω η νηπιαγωγός της
πρωινής βάρδιας η
Στέλλα Φραγκιουδάκη και
αποδείχτηκε πως είχε
δίκιο. Τα παιδιά
-εδώ δούλεψαν μόνο
τα νήπια- πάλι
σε ομάδες των 2 όπου
ο ένας πληκτρολογούσε και
ο ‘βοηθός’ του
έδειχνε δίπλα το
χειρόγραφο και ονόμαζε
ένα ένα τα
γράμματα. Τρία παιδιά
κατά τη διάρκεια
αυτής της διαδικασίας
μπόρεσαν να διαβάσουν
μικρές μονοσύλλαβες και δισύλλαβες
λέξεις όπως: και, γη, ένα, μέσα, κάτω, Θήβα,
κ.α. και τα
περισσότερα συνειδητοποίησαν 2 φωνητικούς ‘γάμους’ : του ει και
του αι. Πέρα
από όλα αυτά εμείς
όλοι απολαύσαμε αυτό που
εσείς τώρα κρατάτε
στα χέρια σας
και ελπίζουμε να
το χαρείτε το
ίδιο. Τα
παιδιά που δούλεψαν

Through Myths
…from the ancient
Greece.. but also
through ‘Logoy’ speech,
words from Greece
of today and
of course our
own little text. Time…it comes,
it goes away….
It always runs….
How may we
present it to the kids? January
2005… First day
at school… lot of
discussions about the past
year…. Many plans
about the present year ..
when, how, where
we shall make
them come up?
We need a
big piece of
paper… No, no
Maria said we
need a big
calendar.. So we
started. We wanted
this be different
than the other calendars
we brought in our
class. We wished
its drawings to
be ours and
on the application of
Paint because the
colours are more
lighter there. During
the morning session
-we are an
all day long
school - the kids
had already started
to work on
the 12 feats
of Hercules. In
this way our
choice of the
main subject of
our calendar came
up easily: MYTHS
FROM ANCIENT GREECE. We
looked at our
school library and
we found many
myths but we
had to choose
just 12 as
was the months
of the year. We
made groups of
2 kids and
we started drawing
on the Computer what
exactly each group
had chosen. At the same time
we were discussing
the matching myth
all together. Some
we played them
like a drama…
some others - like
Lernaean Hydra - we
made a handicraft.. for
some others we
brought more info
from home or from the internet
…but of ALL
we agreed to
write some words..
in verse! With
rhythm… So for
that we read
enough poems for
discovering the rhythm and
the rhymes in them. To
make the 5 lines
‘little poems’ it
was almost an
easy educational procedure..
only 2 or
3 times we
‘stacked’ on this and
probably it was
because the kids
were tired… so
we left it
for the next
day when the
‘inspiration’ was back
again. The phase
it was a
real glad procedure
while all the kids
were participated in
an ‘un-official’ way: in
one hand the
children could say
immediately what they
got in their
mind without waiting
for a permission
-as usual happens in our discussions- and in the
other hand they
enjoyed very much
when their poems
sounded funny (Thiva), no
sense ( the Goddess Dimitra),
or wizard (Europe & Zeus). The next
phase it was
the typing on
the Word of the
manuscript I was
made during the
creation of their
poems in the
class. With a
short exception - in a
European project 3
years ago- this
it was the
first time I decided
to suggest to
the kids to type
by themselves the whole
text on the Computer.
I was a
little afraid of the
big text but
my colleague Stella,
was supported me
to do it
and from the
result we saw
that it was
a right movement.
The kids
- have been
worked only the
old pupils 5-6 years
old- again in
groups of 2.
One child was
typing and his
‘assistant’ pointed the
text by the
keyboard and at the
same time he
named one by
one the letters
and the spaces.
During this procedure 3 children
managed to read
small monosyllabic as w ell
dissyllabic words like:
and, earth, one,
into, under, Thiva, etc. And
most of the pupils
realized at least
2 phonetic ‘marriages’ of
some greek diphthongs.
But far from
all of these
we all enjoyed
this teamwork you
now look at
and we hope
you enjoy it as
