Costa's family who came from Albania. Our teacher said 'it doesn't
matter ' , so the three of us went . Costas was waiting for us
at home.. He opened the door and we went inside. Fortunately , his
sister Angela 8 years old , was there because both of them
translated for their mother and us. I thought it was very strange
that his mother was able to understand everything in Greek ,
but she always replied in Albanian !!!
1 When did you arrived in Greece?
# My husband came here to Kaparelli 5 years ago and he
found a job as a shepherd both my children I came by taxi 3
years ago . We have all our papers with us.
2 Why did you leave your village?
# After Ember Hotza's government didn't have a job or money!
3 Did you face any difficulties here?
# I couldn't find a job …I worked part time in the fields
…Now I am ok , I have a job taking care of 2 old people and that's better.
4 Do you like our village?
# Yes.
5 Is it better here or in Albania?
# Here is , because my husband and I have a job.
6 Do you send any letters to your friends?
# No , we call them when we can.
7 Do you wish to stay here forever or return home?
# I want to bring up my children here in Kaparelli , to be
educated , to have a permanent job and I think everything will be
fine !
We said goodbye and we returned to school where we drew this
family all together. Dimitris drew multicolored flowers just to
make Costa's house more beautiful !
