These Graphics
are an
alternative suggestion
to a
teacher’s question
for his
young pupils :
How can
I use computers
in my
classroom?
Since 1993
we work
these graphics in our school
with the following
procedure:
The children
start with
computers one month
after the
beginning of
the school
year. They
work in
groups of
two and
they start
with the
application of
Paint every
day for
5-10 minutes each. Their
progress depends
on their
own ability.
On February or
March – depends from the
class - all
the children
have learn
know ledges like:
To choose
easy almost all
the tools
of Paint,
to combine
them into
a more sophisticated
outcome, to
type their
name and
the date,
to save
their files
into folders,
and print
them.
Then we
keep on starting
the implementation of the
Graphic tests.
Here we
have 3
groups.
The first
one addresses
the intellectual
section promoting
the comprehensible
ability and
the mechanisms
of thinking.
The second familiarizes
the children,
with basic
mathematical procedures like
space and
time meanings,
comparisons of
evaluations different
sizes, grouping
and classifications,
arrangements of objects
and facts,
table of
double entrance,
matching of
objects and
through these
an introduction
to the
meaning of
plurality 1 – 5.
The
third, prepares
children for
the coding
and decoding
of the
written and
oral speech.
All these
Graphics are
made with
a degree
of difficulty
which grows gradually in
each sector,
and offer
to the teacher a
flexibility to
choose this
which is
the best
for his
learning procedure
has chosen
for his
class.
On
the above
‘suggestion’ we
work also
including activities like :
To use
the PC for
the weekly
registration books from
their school
lending library. To send
and receive
e-mails developing
a collaboration
with schools
all over Europe. To
use Internet,
like a
teaching tool
for our
school topics,
like a
basis of
information for
the projects
we develop,
like a
tool of dissemination
for our
school work
and an access to
the others
work. Children
can learn
how to
use CDs with
a various of content, like
music collections
through all
over the
world, interactive
educational games
in a various of
topics, as
well as
DVDs with
the right
content and
according our
learning targets
we have.
Time
at school
everyone knows
how very
precious it
is.
It’s up to us, to educators, its appropriate utilization.
