Rock Concert

The Gymnasium - Lyceum of Kaparelli invited a students band from Thiva to play in the framework of their annual "cultural activities" and of course it was our pleasure to participate this event.

We went early to visit the Gymnasium and to have a look at their special library HERONIA.
This belongs to a wider net-school-libraries throughout Greece and it's very well equipped with a great number of books for all ages and it is supported by 3 new PCs connected to Internet.

We saw some new books, we painted something for the librarian, we met some old pupils of our school, we discussed with Gymnasium teachers; we were offered sweets -out of the library!- and at last the concert started.

Their programme included Greek rock songs... as usual we sat "first table" we had thought that we would leave soon for many understandable reasons... But what a surprise! The children not only didn't get bored but they were clapping hands in the songs' rhythm.

Afterwards they took their siesta under the warm sun and...we had 'trouble' making them leave...
